SkyMac privacy

Anonymous usage sharing is optional and can be disabled in Settings. It is enabled by default.

What is shared

Firebase Analytics receives app onboarding and general engagement signals. SkyMac's private compatibility service uses a pseudonymous installation identifier and may receive played Steam App IDs, rounded play duration, a coarse session termination classification (normal exit, crash, launch failure, or interruption), coarse Apple Silicon/RAM/macOS/display classes, and allowlisted runtime, renderer, display, synchronization, overlay, and Game Mode settings. Optional feedback contains only a fixed compatibility result; optional performance ratings contain only 1–5 stars.

What is never shared

SkyMac does not upload names, Steam accounts, Wine usernames, file paths, launch arguments, logs, crash text, mods, serial numbers, hostnames, exact timestamps, or free-form text. Google/Firebase may process operational metadata such as IP addresses in infrastructure logs; SkyMac does not place IP addresses in its application database.

Retention and control

Private session reports expire after 90 days. Inactive pseudonymous installation profiles and game summaries expire after 12 months. Identity-free public aggregates may be retained indefinitely. Disabling sharing cancels future collection and discards reports not yet sent; it does not delete reports already accepted under the normal retention schedule.
